�That is one amazing scratch building job, I ran across these photos awhile back, and they took my breath. I have attempted a few times to build one of these beasties, but most photos do not show good detail of the stirring on the back. I hope this one is correct, I think I may try my hand at this one again.

Howdy Fellas,

Wow!....it is so interesting to come across this post.� I can't tell you how much time I spent some time ago brain-bashing, and reference searching trying to put together enough information to scratch this thing myself......too weird

Anyway, it is indeed a superb example of both the gentleman's scratching ability, as well as the piece itself.� I looked at the kindly provided link but could not find the scale in which this was built......does anyone know?� My plan was for 1/35th scale....maybe I can contact the builder and beg some plans from him?

Oh, BTW, the hurdle I ran up against when considering this project was the very same thing you bring up Tim, and that is the rear steering mechanism detail..

Oh, it always does that - I think it happens when someone edits their post, it then pinches the attachments from the previous post. It can only be stopped by the original poster who added the attachments editing their own post before anyone else posts and edits.

EDIT: I wonder if another poster can nick them back...?

That is exactly how it happens. Why it happens is a mystery. And, yes, it is a one-off. Once it has happened, it won't happen again on that thread.

To prevent it: Make an empty post with the attachments for the real post. Make your real post without attachments. Edit the real post and the attachments will drop to the real post. Do all this in fairly quick succession.

Is following the method above�necessary? No... but if no-one edits their posts for a while then the attachments will drop a long way. The other problem is that attachments can disappear if the edited post is subsequently re-edited or if the poster decides to remove them (intentionally or accidentally) or if the post has to be removed for reasons of profanity, etc.

Solution?

Fix forum somehow?
