A history of Hickman County in the above state says "German tank captured in World War I brought in county mid twentys was used to pull graders and other road equipment"
No I don't believe that this was an A7V but could it have been one of the Uberlandwagens? Or perhaps one of those big tracked schlepers? Ideas please.
Or better still anyone from Hickman County out there (along with the truth)?

  Can you provide information as to where you found this information at?? I do not live too far from there, but I am hampered by work at the moment, and can not find time for travel. I have emailed the historical society of Hickman County, hopefully they can provide some information.. Especially if there is any truth in the statement??

I can't add anything really a google search for something or other brought up a page called "A history of Hickman County" that had the line I quoted in it. Nothing to show who wrote it or any address for further info

I emailed the host of the website and they say this particular bit of information came from the book "A Patchwork History of Hickman County", as did most of the site. It's apparently a self-published book copyright 1984, edited by Dana Dye.

According to http://www.biblio.com/books/65056713.html the book is for sale in at a Louisville bookstore. Also shows up as being available in the 'Tennessee Reference' library, and seems a potentially credible source as it's mentioned in bibliographies on the state website and a page related to a technical school there. Hope this is of some help.
