Always loved the look of WWI motorcycles, especially the Clyno motorcycle and sidecar with the mounted Vickers MG. Does anyone know of a company (except the very expensive Scalelink one!) of a WWI era motorcycle, with or without a sidecar? Don't mind what scale, I know similar looking motorcycles were made up until the late 1920s so i'd imagine there's bound to be something out there.
Rob . . . Don't know if you're looking for toy soldiers as well as scale, but Frontline, Dorset, and NewRay all offer castings and/or finished models of WW1 bikes in 1:32 scale.
Cheers, i've found the motorcycle listed on the Dorset website (seems to be a civvy bike though, and no picture), but can't find anything on the Frontline website or anything from Newray except WW2 Jeeps and Shermans - anyone have a link to the Frontline or Newray products, or any picture of the Dorset motorcycle? Thanks for the idea Al, hadn't thought of a toy soldier bike, and that'd do just as well.
Oops . . . I should have written Fusilier Miniatures (http://www.fusilier-miniatures.com/shop.asp) rather than Frontline. Enter the Fusilier list, then go down to the bottom of the page and select the World War One from the menu. They offer a number of Brit, Aussie, US, and German machines, both with and w/o sidecars, available both painted and as castings.
If you have a lot of money to spend and want WWII machines, you can get them from King and Country, Figarati (sp?), et ceters.
