...and Games Workshop do not make figures for their Warhammer Historical. They recommend using other manufacturer's figures; they even recommend using plastic figures and models.

But maybe it will give the plastic manufacturers a kick in the pants to start making WWI models. Short of holding a gun to their heads, what else will?
Yes, after a little bit of thought, i think this is very good news. The rules will generate some interest, and Games Workshop are very good at promoting themselves. And they say one should use other peoples figures and models, so HaT, Airfix, Emhar etc should get a little boost in their sales.
I have been dropping hints in the HaT forum that they should make a Mark V.

1. Thanks!! (As I've mentioned a number of times: I've got promoted, and my new position is really demanding, so I can't do WW1 models as I used to. At least for now...)
2. Yes, this cannot be but good news. If you use 20mm figures and equipment for this Wargame you will have a VERY large - and for most part - cheap supply. 28mm figures are MUCH more expansive and take much more room.
3. Let's hope that HAT gets interested in that proposition!
