Hi!

As my 6ton is waiting for decals, I turn to some of my too many unfinished models. Today the Lanchester!

I converted the very nice Armo 1/35 resin kit into a real British vehicle, rebuilding the rear and the turret's roof.

After a lot of discussion I turn to a mud brown tone instead of the 1914/15 grey, I supposed the ACs have been repainted and this colour looks much more 1916 to me.

First steps on weathering, mud will be added later with pigments.

Just waiting for comments!
Regards
Gilles(Lostiznaos)

Hello Gilles

As usual, you have turned out an incredible model, your added scratch build efforts are spot on.

Great Job!!!!!worship.gif

All the Best

Thanks for comments!

Some progress on the work : the weathering is now quite finished, more dust, moisture and dirt than rust. I don't like rusting effect on AFV except for specific wrecks or long time abandonnated vehicles.
I will add some mud later when I'll built a scenic display.

A real flying fish... I enjoy building this kit very much.

The rear :

All comments are welcome, and I'm especially in trouble with the lenses. Looking at the pic, many vehicles seems have no lense on their road lights, does anybody know anything about?

Regards

Gilles(Lostiznaos)

Hi Giles, Excellent work so far. From looking at the pictures I have collected so far,of Belgian,British and Russian service vehicles , those that still have lenses seem to have plain glass lenses, with no sign of any "prism lines". I have not found any pictures of the rear light with intact glass but presume this would have been the same - plain glass.
Can't wait to see your model in a scenic setting.

Thank you very much! I will add plain glass on my light.
About a scenic setting, well, I convert two figs to have a crew standing around the car, but I don't know exactly what I will do. As I move very often, I cannot built big scenes.

Wonderful work, as usual! Maybe you can gather more info on automotive lamplights by searching "Blériot" advertisements...
