Yockelson, Mitchell A. BORROWED SOLDIERS:Americans Under British Command The author follow the 27th and 30th Divisions as a case study of coalition warfare that despite cultural differences and Pershing's misgivings worked well with the Tommies.
It was brought to my attention by the proprietor of On Military Matters, a bookshop in New Jersey, who is originally from Runcorn. Funny old world.

Mr. Yockelson has kindly created a website devoted to his book, with a photo gallery and nice animated gif of a Tank making its way across the screen.
One of the photos is entitled, "Leading a Tank into Battle". I am not altogether certain. It is a Supply Tank, Griff, with what appear to be ladies in fashionable hats in the background.
