Thanks to the kind support of my good friends Tim Rigsby & Laffetenheini, (I dedicate this modest model to them) I could finish this aproximation to the DAIMLER MARIENWAGEN II temporaly fitted with a searchlight. I highly appreciate also the additional info kindly provided by MAD ZEPPELIN, IVAN & FABE, fine comrades from this forum. Thanks to Mr. Aldo Mastrostefano who took the photos! All the best,EDUARDO
Dear Peter,Tim & Gerd, Indeed this model took 3 months from this bussy Part-time office worker & housekeeper modeler.Glad You shere the fun with me, I will be happy to give You back the favor.Next project (1-35), combines an italian WW1 HIDROVOLANTE Macchi m5 with any kind of italian land vehicule, (open to ideas) All the best, EDUARDO
Hello Ed , first i beg your pardon cause i missed thanks for the great honour to be dedicated by the model of the marienwagen . Second : what to hell is a Hidrovolante Macchi m5 ??? Are you able to put a picture here on board or is this a new top secret model operation?
Best regards to You and family especially to Pepo !

oha! the more less accurate translation is...a WW1 seaplane from the italian Macchi make. This nimble and elegant biplanes were a sort of copy/derivative or even -reverse ingeneering work- from the original seaplane Lohner series. The Macchi´s seagoing hull is a wooden design from the very Macchi aircraft factory, but the wings came from the french Nieuport 17 , a succesfull mating which resulted in an outstanding seaplane. My idea is build this aircraft pulled by a land tractor or truck, or somethig so. Sorry for the lack of explanations, ED
Hi Ed , sorry i know what Macchi builded in glory times . I know very much about the MC 202 Folgore (fighter plane in II WW ) . I held your new project for an amphibian vehicle.
Before you begin : What's about modelling "my" sweet little "GINA" (FIAT G91 R ) ??? It is the 32 + 39 on the right at the picture below .
Hello Eduardo It is so rewarding visiting the Landships-site. There is always unusual to see. Your models are among the most innovative and lovely models. I like your choise of subjects very much and the execution is top quality as well. Cannot wait to see your next model.
Can't imagine why so many bothers with Panthers and Shermans, when there is such a varied world of prototypes to choose from.
Good Claus, always glad to know about You!. I absolutely agree with You about this! Not only scale model makes but also model builders are sadly unaware of the variety of combinations WW1 era can offer!Indeed I find this site like an oasis. Thanks for your words, EDUARDO
Eduardo! What a wonderful model! One of these days, I'll have to travel and see your collection first hand. About the Macchi -and I feel that aviation is more my field- I have several plans and even a book on it. I'll contact you offlist! D.
