German 21 CM Howitzer

There  are some wonderful images of this WWI gun on the site.  I have some information that this was used in WWII.  I am trying to build a model kit on the WWII version but can't find any information on what the differences would be between the WWI and WWII version.  The kit has an apparent different barrel but I have already taken steps to back date it.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the main difference are the wheels. I is likely that the different barrel is the late war long barrel as opposed to the 1912 model.  I have a few photographs of the 21cm on my web site plus detailed photographs of the sight:

Hi Hap,
Seen your question on German 210 mm Howitzer, i don't know what scale you are building in.  But if of any help go to www.tarrantstoysoldiers.com/mount.html  You will find the kit on page 12.  Picture shows piece with field wheels, kit is in 54mm scale.  I hope this is of some help.

Thanks, the photos are helpful.  The kit I am building is the Verlinden 1/35 scale kit and it is clear it has many deficiencies from the photos I've seen.  The barrel was not correct at all and I have reshaped it and reset it based on the one you mention.  Of course that is assuming the same basic gun was used in the WWII version.  The carriage is the metal piece and it does have the heavy steel wheels with rubber surface tread.  I've seen no documentation on it but I must admit I am not up on artillery subjects.  Most of my projects are armor based.  Here is a link to the kit as produced:

But as I got into it I found some problems that needed to be addressed.  With your photos the sight should be quite easily detailed.
