In case anyone might be interested, E.J. Morten (Booksellers) have a couple of books by/about Ernest Swinton:
A signed U.S. First Edition (1933) of Eyewitness, "personal reminiscences of the Great War, including the genesis of the Tank." Appallingly expensive at £115.
Also one that's new to me: Over My Shoulder, First Edition 1951. The autobiography of the inventor of the Tank, including India and South Africa. Only £10.
Morten's is in Manchester and I shall declare that a pal of mine works there from time to time, but I'm not on commission. This is a public service announcement.
They don't have a website but will put you on their mailing list for their military history booklet. I've had a look through the new one, and The Tanks at Flers is there for £40, Ironclads of Cambrai for £10, Tanks and Trenches £10, Tank Battles of World War I £12.50, etc.
