found these pics of german tanks and arm.cars on ebay. i havent seen many before so i thought you would be interested.  note the wooden mock up of brit tank! 

i have nowt to do with the seller

As soon as I had realized that these are copies, I wasn't interested anymore. So I did not notice that. ;o)

revans, thank you for sharing these pics with us.

In case you dont know the subjects, please allow me to try to add a little info to the pics. Starting from the top and working down:

A7V Elfriede on her way to Paris (or maybe on her way from Paris!). Something to note is the guy with the tartan trousers; his uniform seems quite mixed up.

A disabled Tank Mark II female.

Tank Mark II male 799.

Tank Mark IV male 8043. This is noteworthy because it almost shows how the unditching beam was held in place when it wasn't attached to the tracks; there are 2 different size chains and the smaller one is holding it on to the rails.

Some Freikorps allegedly in Munich in May 1919. Can't remember the make of truck.

I believe the wooden tanks were used to develop anti tank tactics.

A Russian armoured car captured by the Germans and subsequently used by the Freikorps. Think it is a Fiat Isorski.

Tank Mark IV female C47. Photo reversed.

A7V Adalbert.

 Just a small piece to go with these two. The female tank, which is 586 (D28), and the male 799 (D26) were both lost in the same action on 11th April 1917.

This is a Krupp-Daimler anti-aircraft truck.
