Hi guys, I'm taking a long-overdue vacation to Chicago in a couple of weeks and I was hoping you guys could point me toward some sites of interest there (i.e. museums, monuments, hobby shops, etc.). It doesn't have to be WW1 related, although if that's too blasphemous I understand! It would also help if the places in question were easy to reach via public transportation there, since I won't have a car while I'm there. Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

Matt, there are at least a couple of refences in books (as well as wikipedia) that say that the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry has two of the first armoured cars.
When I asked the museum about them, the staff didn't consider them to be armoured cars, and so at first they didn't know what I was talking about! But then they confirmed they have the Duryea Number 2 car in storage. They might let you see it if you make an appointment. You never know your luck!
They didn't reply to my enquiries about the Cadillac.

Wow, thanks Phil! I'll definitely have to look them up!
You wouldn't happen to know any good hobby shops there in Chicago, would you?

While visiting the Science Museum, don't fail to cross the street and board the Unterseeboot; U505. The visit will satisfy anyone with the remotest interest in naval history.
