I haven't yet found out who he is and why I got the email, but it sems to have come from New Zealand, and Wingnut is the name of Peter Jackson's production company. All of which might be coincidence. I shall investigate.

Just had a reply from NZ. It turns out that Wingnutwings is, indeed, a company set up by Peter Jackson.

If I may ad a bit here; the aircraft models are superb. The figures that will be released in the future are all products of Peter's picking. He is a commited WW1 aircraft buff, and got tired of waiting for 1/32 renditions of his personal wants,... so he contracted for them himself ! He's marketing 4 different planes for now, with a half dozen more to follow; including a Gotha IV ! What a great fellow to have in our corner !

In 1:32? That's going to be huge! But why stop there... He could always go for a Zeppelin (Staaken) R. VI in 1:32. All you'll need is your own hangar to display it in!
Yes, it will be huge, and won't it look great parked on the kitchen table !
I've heard he doesn't care if this venture isn't a money-maker; he just want's to share his hobby passion with other like-minded modelers. The kits currently offered sell for $90 USD with free shipping anywhere on the planet.
Not especially relevant, but P Jackson featured briefly in a wildlife documentary on TV in the UK last night, against the backdrop of the replica Lancaster bomber that will be used in his remake of The Dambusters. It turns out that his company, Weta Workshop, is named after an endangered species of huge and rather grotesque insect native to New Zealand.
