I finally got to Brisbane Boys Grammar School and got some images of the Rohrhinterwagen there. The vehicle was in the middle of a construction area and I couldn't get to the left side of the vehicle because of a trench dug alongside the plinth the vehicle rests on. It was also one of those very bright Queensland days so the images aren't great. The refurbishment done in 1996 by the Australian Army is only superficially acceptable - using pop rivets on a WW1 vehicle just isn't right.
The archivist at the school said that the vehicle was supposed to go to Bombay (Mumbai) as a war trophy and only came to Brisbane after the intervention of Brigadier-General Wilson - the capturer of the vehicle.
