G'day Folks, another current project (the undercoat is still wet !) that I'm working on, it's the Major Models Ehrhardt E-V/4 that I purchased off evilbay a few years back and have only just gotten around to building. First off, it's an old kit, dating back to the late 80's early 90's, so the etch is a little on the thick side and the resin brittle, and curiously, there is a block of foam inside the main body and the engine compartment, I guess it was done to reduce the amount of resin used and thereby reduce cost ????
It is still currently available, Lou Stenner had them last time I looked, not sure if the foam is still used !
As for the model itself, it is a bit of a challenge to build, but, with a bit of effort and a small amount of language (for encouragement only !) a good looking model can be made with it.
I hope you like what you see, I would be most happy to hear any comments, good and bad as to what & where it can be improved (like I said, the paints still wet... there's plenty of time to fix my errors.
Again, Happy New Year.
Regards,
David Scorer

You´re doing a good work with that kit. Four years ago, I purchased it and I was disappointed: missing or broken main parts, huge resin bubbles... And I paid USD 42 for it!

But your model has good looking. Well done!

Regards.

Hi,

the block of foam may be to reduce the amount of shrinkage of the epoxy.

I've seen this kits some time ago but payed no attention to them.
But now I'm really impressed. Never thought, that these will turn out
as well. Great work indeed!
What are your plans for the camo? Freikorps? Buntfarben? Some intersting pics  are in "Die deutschen Radpanzer im Ersten Weltkrieg"

Really a great work. I should found one for my own collection.
I cannot wait to see it finished!
