This is my first post so excuse me if the topic has been done to death and I can't find it due to my inability to search this site.
What does anyone have regarding the TAON of the Russian Army in WW1 please. The acronym translates as the 'Artillery of Special Purpose' dating from 1917.
Basically it was a grouping of all mannner of heavy artillery pieces, including lots of imported stuff from France and the UK plus tractors, into what the red Army in WW2 called Artillery Breakthrough divisions.
