Hi! After a very long time, I eventually finished the MarkVstar. The model is converted from the Ehmar MarkV with 26 1/2 resin tracks from Panzershop.
I try to built "Odysseus", from 15th Bat at the beginning of the battle of Amiens, August 1918. A pic can be found in the D Flechter book "Tanks and Trenches".
Special thanks to Mike Cooper who gives me the essential infos about the tank's serial number and crew!

To answer Ironside, Panzershop tracks are far better than the Ehmar's ones. The main drawback is there is no details on the internal side. The best resin offer today are the Accurate Armor parts, but only on 20 1/2 size. Regards Gilles(Lostiznaos)
Hi Gilles, That is very nice indeed, an impressive build. Which paints do you use on your models ? I am "old school" and am thinking of trying some acrylic's soon.

Unfortunately Paul, I'm a bit "old school" too. I don't like use acrylics with hand brush and I don't use my airbrush on this model so I paint it with Humbroll 29 and 119 using different mixes to provide some contrast between the different panels. I add a lot of filters from dark green to light ochre then pigments and paint chipping. The only acrylics I choose was Games Workshop ref for the metallic effect on tracks. Both chainmail and boltgun metal are interesting.
Regarding airbrush work on a carrier MarkI I'm working on, the best I found to depict the british mud brown is a mix of Modelcolors "Tan earth", "Brown sand" and "burnt umber", but I don't remember the proportions. Regards Gilles(Lostiznaos)
