Im relatively new to this forum, and one thing I find is a lament for more attention to WW1AFVs in the scale model market. I think this has been addressed in recent years with some reasonable 1/35 scale offerings, and also many hints of things in the mill as it were. There are some large scale offerings out there, with attendant pricetags, or with no clear ETA of production etc.
I have access to many of the industry tools needed to actually get larger scale model projects off the ground (I am an industrial designer-engineer) but lack personal access to the real vehicles and to accurate blueprints / engineering drawings. Working from photographs (and the occasional 1/35 diagram) is not enough, interior details (particularly) remain a mystery or sketchy at best (I want to achieve a high level of accuracy down to correct bolt diameters etc).
I am interested in the British IV and V as well as the octagonal turret Char FT-17 (nice flat surfaces!).
I see some of you do highly accurate drawings as a hobby/interest. I would love to hear from you if you can help - knowledge is power! And information would be happily paid for, I hope that is an appropriate thing to offer on this forum.
Best regards,
Uncle Percy
