Superb! Only comment is that the Vickers guns wouldn't usually be so far at the front - in British WW1 use, from the introduction of the Lewis, they were kept far back and used in a supporting role in the same way artillery was, usually being used to fire on a trajectory and creating 'beaten zones'

Rob: Yes I know,the Vickers were only placed there for the pictures,they are allready removed. Becaurse all my figures have needles in there legs,I can place them very easy on my dio,just drilling a hole and gluing them in place!

Hello Commander in Chief,I paint most of my figures during my coffee-breakes at work! Usely 50 to 60 figures,first the main colour,than all the faces,hands,etc. When it comes to the shoes,I first cut of the footplates,insert a hot needle and than finish the figures. So it takes a lot of coffee to paint my figures!

I am wondering if it will be appearing in any magazines?
And, I also have a half formed idea that this would make an excellent article on Landships2, if you would be willing? I haven't discussed this with The Landships Committee (mainly because I don't know who they are!), but maybe there could be a section, or 'chapter' if you will, on Cambrai because it was the battle that decided the fate of the tanks. A few articles could be in a separate chapter, all with the Cambrai theme - fortifications, Mark IV, tactics, converting models, painting etc. Some articles already exist on Landships1 but aren't gathered under the Cambrai heading.
What do you think? We'd all certainly like to read about your technique and what colours you used etc etc.

That sounds to be a good idea to me - I've been thinking about a section on Landships II for exactly this kind of article. Detailed articles are good value but having some high quality overview articles which link the details together makes the site much stronger.
Count me in,gentlemen! (if the committee agrees ). If it all works out ,I could use some help with my English.
BTW,on the 6th of June,there will be a meeting of 1/72 enthusiasts in the place I live,Kampen. After 4 times showing my "Waterloo"-dio,this time the request came to show my "Cambrai"-dio. I started to finish the first of 20(!) boards,the quiet corner. Attached some pictures .

As sponsor of Landships 2, I suppose I'm part of the Landships Comittee as well as Charlie who's doing the technical part. No doubt that the Comittee will grow along the way. I think it's a great idea to do a Cambrai article, linking to other specific/detailed/connected articles on the subject.
A meeting on june 6th sounds good; looks like I'm one of the few forum members within reasonable distance. Will try to attend if you can e-mail me some details.
