Anyone know when the Canon d'Infanterie de 37 modèle 1916 actually entered service with the French? To the month, if possible. Or three months.
Much obliged.

Since the spammer has caused my enquiry to plummet down the league, forgive me for this not very ingenious ploy to prevent it from dropping out of sight altogether.

The "Canon de 37 mm modèle 1916 T.R." entered in service at Verdun in May 1916. All the french Infantry Divisions engaged on the Somme in July 1916 were armed with "Canon de 37 mm". Yours sincerely, Guy François.
