Japanese Turret Gun?

Would like to find some information, if possible, about this gun.  I am not sure if the gun was stationed in Japan or Korea.  My father, in photo, was stationed in both locations during the Korean War.  This image is circa 1952.

I know my father didn't fight against this gun.  I am just curious if I can find anything about it!
