More Strelets 1/72 sets than I can keep count of now have arrived at dealers. These include the assorted infantry wearing gasmasks sets, "German Stormtroops" and the 1877 RTW sets which could be useful for WW1 conversions as well. See http://www.strelets-r.com/CamWorldWar1.html http://www.strelets-r.com/CamRussoTurkish.html for "released" / "Nov 2010" sets.
Yes the wallet may get hit hard over the first quarter with Hat hopefully coming up with the goods as well - but lets remember there was sod all last year for the WW1 figures supporters! Once this log jam passes through we may have to wait a good while unless HaT do get the Kilted and Indian out in E20.
It got so bad towards the end of last year I almost started painting Napoleonic. However, there are some depths I was not prepared to sink to! - but bought the Strelet Anglo- Saxons before the battle instead which made a nice change.
All we need now is someone to come up with a plastic mkV (just seen the flying pig!) and 2011 will be a great year.
The german storm troops are an excellent looking set even if they are in the strelets chunky style. It would be good if they were to produce a set of british equally armed with all the "medieval" weaponary. That would make for some great trench fighting scenes.
Forgot to mention that both the WW1 British early and late cavalry sets are included in this release batch, unusually for Strelets in mainly sedate poses.
