On this you have posted a drawing of this gun that was made when the French captured one in April 1917. The Minenwerfer you have posted is quite different from the one often quoted as the Voith. Could this be the illustrious Minenwerfer Heidenheim? A caliber of 26cm would link it to the Voith. The Voith factory is located at Heidenheim. Coincidence?
The Minenwerfer you have posted is the only one I do not have a name for, and Heidenheim is the only name I have without a description or picture. I hope you can shed some light on this one.
I am busy making scale drawings of this Minenwerfer, and I will post them as soon as I have finished them.
Sorry, but the french "Notice de renseignements sur les Minenwerfer" dated 1917 with the description of 26-cm Minenwerfer and his projectiles, captured in Champagne in april 1917, said only "new 26-cm Minenwerfer" with no name of the factory! Yours sincerely, Guy François.
I was affraid of that as you didn't mention this name on the French forum. But I could have missed some vital details as your English far exceeds my French. I will try and contact the Voith firm, as it still exists...
