It is the "voiture-affût" (carriage) of the 240 mm modèle 1884 gun on Affût modèle 1916 Saint-Chamond.The barrel of the gun is on the "voiture-pièce" tracted also by a Latil TAR tractor. 60 of these coast artillery guns were mounted in 1917 on the carriage "affût modèle 1916" made by Saint-Chamond works. This is the 'FCM bridging equipment' (pont d'équipage FCM), strongly built in steel.
It dates from the early twenties. I have no precise information on the exact datation of this well-known series of picts but I would say c. 1925.

PS : very well-known for its tanks designs, FCM (Forges et chantiers de la Méditerranée, plants in La Seyne-sur-Mer, near Marseilles), is primarily a shipyard and it also produced different types of heavy equipment for civilian enginery purposes. There are several versions of its military bridging equipment, allowing up to 44 tons for crossing.
