Hi

This has perhaps been covered already here, but I'll ask anyway.

Is it possible to buy a  separate 1/72 scale Lewis Gun for a DH2 I'm doing?  The one that came with the Revell kit is rubbish so I'm looking for a good one.  Also: any tips on doing the wires?  First time for me.

Thanks

(I can't paint figures in artificial light and TV's consistently dreadful)

Hi Excelsior,

You didn't say it had to be cheap did you?

This looks rather nice,  there's a link to some good photo of the MG as well    http://air.scale-model-kits.com/products/Lewis-Mk-II-machine-gun-MINI7206.html

I had to slip this in, I don't think anyone else will spot it !!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4eTBQGbrBU

Great.  Thanks for that.

The You Tube footage at least tells me where to put the rigging, if not how!

However, TV is consistently crap so I can devote myself to going round the bend every evening...

I have an understanding wife.

Hi Excelsior

Rigging on WW1 aircraft has always been a nightmare for me (I've not done it on my wargames models as they are prone to reverting to kit form - often with more pieces than the original kit!) but I have tried once or twice for other models.

There are several model aircraft websites that give you ideas but you might like to try www.priswell.com/index.htm If you look at the DURAS system that gives you an idea. Most systems seem to focus on drilling very small holes, superglue and fishing line.

And remember - you gotta get in to get out.....

Cheers

Paul

Thanks, Paul. Useful advice.

And yes, you certainly have. But which one of the 32 doors?

Don't know, better ask Lilywhite Lilith - she can lead you right!
