Fantastic photo!

Looks like the 30.5cm Beta, it has the short recuperator cylinders atop the barrel cradle (both 28cm types had long cylinders; when I say 'short' and 'long' I mean in terms of how far they protruded from the front of the cradle) - see the attached photo of the 30.5cm howitzer.

Is that the only photo of it on ebay?

Thanks for your reply, Roger Todd.

You see  http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=145877&start=15 for more images of 30.5cm Beta.

Does you have any image of the 28cm Küstenmörser to compare?

Thank you very much for that link! There are some great photos there.

Here is an old Landships thread where I posted two photos of the 28cm L12 howitzer and one of the L14 (not very helpful as it's a rear view), plus some other views of the 30.5cm:

http://landships.activeboard.com/t16725305/the-two-questions-about-german-austro-hungarian-28-cm-siege-/

However, I've attached another photo of a 28cm L14 howitzer, which shows the cradle and recoil/recuperator cylinders more clearly.

There are also a couple of photos on the thread linked to above of the Rheinmetall 28cm howitzer, of which I think only one was built.

Looks like an Italian 305mm howitzer barrel on its transport wagon.

Attached are:

- a drawing of the barrel on the transport wagon (which is what I believe your photo shows)

- a photo of the usual (fixed) coastal type carriage

- a photo of the big four-wheeled carriage (called, I believe, a Di Stefano, or De Stefano, carriage)

Use the following as a search phrase on Google Image search: Obice 305

Yes, it is a 13cm Kanone.  You can identify most German Field Artillery and Foot Artillery with the identification drawings and photos on my Lovett Artillery web site:
