At long last, the first volume of our new fast play wargames rules for the Great War is ready for publication. Where the Poppies Grow, which covers the second half of the war on the Western Front 1916-1918 will be available (from selected traders!) at the South East London Wargames Club (SELWG) show at Crystal Palace London on 16 October.
Our website (crushthekaiser.co.uk) should be up and running soon too but in the meantime from next Monday, 10 October, you can also get copies from me via email (crushthekaiser[at]yahoo.co.uk).
Our aim is to cover the whole of the Great War on land and in the air, and the Russian Civil War. Our first supplement to the rules, called Tools of Victory, will be available soon (by the time we go to the Crisis show at Antwerp on 5th November) which will give detailed organisations (for Where the Poppies Grow) for the British and Empire forces as well as French, German, US, Belgian and Portuguese armies and the Russian Expeditionary Corps and the Austro-Hungarian divisions who fought on the Western Front in the last weeks of the war.
The rules are pitched at the battalion/brigade level with the company as the lowest unit and the battalion as the focus for orders and tactics. The rules are suitable for gaming in all figure scales, and no re-basing is needed.
They've been a lot of fun to write and playtest - as wargamers we enjoy rules that are playable but realistic and we hope that's what we've achieved!
I've also started up a Facebook page for Crush the Kaiser, so please do visit us there!
Cheers
Paul

Im so glad to hear the good news! Will definitely pick up a set. Cant wait. Sadly I've been so busy lately the recruitment numbers in my armies have been down.
We're all set for SELWG now, the car is loaded and ready to go at an unearthly hour tomorrow morning (a friend of mine calls this time "O-dark-early")!
Frontline Minatures are stocking the rules (they also do the IT Minatures range, hence the link) and I think Harfields will have some too.
The balloon is done! If it survives the journey it should make an appearance tomorrow on the table (or should that be over the table?)!!
Tools of Victory is also almost ready, just waiting for the cover to come back from the designer and we'll go to print with that too.
Cheers
Paul B
