I have been asked to write a short article on Woosung Forts in Shanghai, but I have very little knowledge of late 19th century coastal guns. In order not to make too many mistakes I would like to buy one or two books on coastal guns of this period. I need a book that is comprehensive and covers guns from most of the major manufacturers(like Armstrong, Krupp, etc).
If you have read a book like this, please recommend it to me.
