Very nice! I like the blending of colours (khakies are easily turned into just one brownish shade if not careful). The face looks great and expressive, in fact remind me of a very concerned John Wayne (those sad puppy eyes!). Just one thing: where the hand meets the sleeve, and where the neck goes into the tunic collar, you don't need to make a dark paint boundary line, as the contrast between the two colours is enough to show a different "material" of flesh and clothing. Great work!
I use Humbrol enamels, at all times. We have a love-hate relationship and I sometimes wonder whether I just like the smell. But they're usually fine, if a little erratic.
As for flesh/clothing interfaces, d fernetti and I will have to agree to differ.
Republican Hastatus next, and a German Stormtrooper early 2013, so that'll be the next contribution WW1-wise.
