I wondered that but also wondered if such a thing will happen seeing as its their first model and a new company that only just started this year. Also who would supply them.

James thinks 'FT***' requires a fine because it should be 'FT' - plain and simple, no numbers. It is apparently erroneous to add numbers, but it is a common mistake (there's a thread on the subject somewhere on the forum), so on this forum the use of 'FT' is being encouraged and the use of numbers discouraged.
Think of it like putting a pound/dollar/etc in a swear-box

I have just looked at the Takom web site regarding the WW1 French tank, very weird indeed. Anyone know who would be distributing them in June or do you think we are in for a wind up.
Yea, that website is a piece of work, isn't it? That said, I've been in contact with them over the past few weeks & it sounds like tooling is finished & production started.
I live in China so asked for a local source; Hobby Easy out of Hong Kong is supposed to offer it but I just checked their site & don't see it listed.
Several dealers in the US have them offered for late June delivery:
Preview on www.perthmilitarymodelling.com - one of the most independent review websites and my favourite for armour models. Only initial impressions so far as Terry carefully points out, but it will be very interesting to see what his more considered conclusions are in the build report. And it shows the kit exists.
Hannants of Lowestoft have it on "Future releases" with a price - which usually means it'll be in within weeks or a few months at worst.
The UK price is £99.99 - no, not a placeholder (they use £TBA as a placeholder when they don't have data). Probably not a mistake either. Hobbylink Japan ask the yen equivalent of around £86 so no point in importing from them into the UK. Lucky Model quote around £66 direct from PRC/HK but you'd still be paying well over £100 with delivery and then on top of that VAT and Parcelforce ransom fee - the taxman is being very assiduous in collecting tax on parcels those days.
To put that into some sort of context, a Trumpeter T-34 (also with interior) is only 8-10% more expensive. It's not that much longer than a FT, surprisingly, at least in the hull, but it is almost twice as wide. But, as I said, it will be very interesting to see what Terry says.
I checked the Inside the Armour price - £70! Quite a saving. The obvious question is what about VAT but I have not gone far enough into the checkout to try that, so a purchaser needs to check. Even with VAT, it is still cheaper than £99.99.
