Excellent couple of sessions at Musee des Blindes. Was hoping to have a word with Colonel Dubois, but it turned out that last week was the second busiest of the year - preparations for this weekend's international modelling exhibition. Hundreds of tables and chairs being fork-lifted in and arranged amongst exhibits on Wednesday. Museum's own collection already on show in marquee, plus a huge amount of exhibitors' to be set up by Sat. Fortunately, the Great War section was relatively unscathed, but, unfortunately, there were hardly any 1914-18 models on show - only two afaik, and one of those claimed to depict FTs at Berry-au-Bac in 1917.
I assume there will be some coverage of the exhibition in modelling magazines.
The Museum is in a so-so suburb, and limited for space. It doesn't have the open spaces that Bov enjoys, so tanks can trundle up and down on the forecourt, but that's about it. The Carrousel (the annual armour and equestrian display) is staged at the cavalry training school, only a few minutes walk from the town centre, where there's a certain amount of room to manoeuvre.
That's all I can think of at the mo. A write-up and photos to follow.

Very excited about the photos and write-up, a place i'd love to visit some day, but unfortunately from what i'm aware of nothing of interest to myself anywhere nearby
