Hello

I hope you can help.

 

I am looking to find an Ambulance that I believe was built by Armstrong Whitworth in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

 

In 1917 the FANYs were gifted an Armstrong Ambulance / Armstrong Whitworth Ambulance (it depends which record you read) by Elswick and Scotswood Workers War Relief Fund. The ambulance was collected by Miss Mary Baxter Ellis.

 

I can find no record of where this ambulance was built and who by.

 

Please can you help?

Have no information on that myself but I have some photographs of Armstrong Whitworth cars from pre-WW1 if it helps build a model?
