Descendant of Aussie soldier who took part in recovery of Mephisto donates effects and medals to Museum:

TANK TO RETURN

RESTORERS have been working on that wonderful Queensland Museum piece, Mephisto, the German A7V WWI tank. Subsequently, Mephisto has ended up at the Workshops Railway Museum at Ipswich. Mephisto, probably the museum's best known exhibit and of world significance, will return to the capital in time for an exhibition to commemorate the ANZAC Centenary.
