In that same bookshop, hardback and paperback copies of The Wipers Times. Apart from the well-known spoof tribute to the tanks by "Teech Bomas" in the December, 1916 issue, there's also a short paragraph that reads:
"We notice much discussion going on in our English contemporaries re the inventorship of the tanks. We could settle the matter here and now, but modesty compels us to keep the matter secret. If they have been helpful in winning the war, we are content."
