Well this is my latest project but the photos are not as good as they should be. Anyway it is the Hat Industries Russian 76 mm Gun built straight out of the box. The finish started out as Tamiya Field Grey but it looked too dark so I dry brushed the model with Vallejo Grey Green. It was then washed with Citadel Paints Badab Black and Vallejo Black Grey was used for the steel tires. The model was then rubbed with a pencil on the tires, Breach, and Gun Shield. Finally a piece of Scotch Brite pad was dipped in Vallejo Camouflage Brown and dabbed on areas that would receive a lot of wear. I almost forgot that the wheels and trail were given a coat of Citadel Paints Agrax Earthshade. It is lighter in color then the real gun but in 1/72 scale it is better to be too light then too dark with color. I hope you like it and, except for the bad pictures, let me know what you think.
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. I have a Skoda 75 mm Mountain Gun and a10cm Feldhaubitze M.14 Gun but no other German or A-H guns. This is the Hat model and it is not as detailed as the Ace kit but it is still a good kit especially if you are wanting to try new weathering techniques. I have the gun crew cleaned up and I will prime them tonight. I hope to have them painted this week and posted as well. I am using the Landships 2 article on Russian uniforms for a paint match.
