Renault FT from Meng 1/35 scale completed

Hi!

At the same time I worked on the 105mod 13, I completed the new FT from Meng.

Even not such easy to built due to complicated adjustments, the kit is just some kind of jewel you can built strait out of the box without any after market.

I builded six or seven RPM models, and even not so bad, they are just different generation and can have now an honorable retirement!

I choose a tank from the French armored platoon in Shanghai during the late 20ties. The vehicles coming from Saigon were eventually taken by the Japanese and finished their life in the Mandchukuo puppets army.

Well I'm now waiting for the Takom St Chamond...

Gilles, is the spring behind the idler - the one supporting the return rollers - the one supplied in the kit? The review on Perth Military Modelling website commented that the spring had too few coils, but the spring on your model looks much better. I'm wondering if you changed the spring yourself, or if they have already started producing kits with a more accurate spring?

No, it isn't!
The original parts are much too thin, and I don't think Meng replace it.
My own come from the old A7V from Tauro model. As I replace them with sprue section on the A7V, I spare the parts for my FTs
