Looking for WW1 models
Permalink

Hi guys

Firstly you have some really talented people here on your site, its a credit to the standard of paper modelling these days. I am not even sure if anyone can help me but they may be able to sign post me if not . I represent a Veterans Charity in the UK. With the upcoming WW1 Centenary we are looking for possibly three models which we could use for raising funds and engaging younger people in
The Great War. We are looking ideally for a plane a boat and a vehicle initially which, if a success we could repeat the next year with a different country (preferably we would start with allied).

The problem we have is that we are not allowed to use funds to buy models to sell as all our funds are required to be spent directly on helping ex servicemen or the admin costs involved. We will use donated card and ink to print them and although we cannot pay for a design we can give full credits and signpost to other models on the print. We are also not allowed to sell the models only ask for a suggested donation.

We are looking for a 10-14 age group model (which would extend  to 7 16 we would presume).

If anyone knows where to go next to continue then any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

The sister website to this forum has a number of papermodels for download - http://landships.info/landships/models.html.

If you want to use any of these models probably would be polite to check with the designer before mass reproduction.

If you find a model or models you want to use contact me via PM and I'll send you the designer's email address.

Regards,

Charlie

Turned the URL into a link - should reduce confusion - the page really is there.

Thanks Charlie and Paul, yes looked at the free ones earlier. They are very good but a little to complex for what we are looking for. Really would like a max of 4 pages including instructions.

Did you look at CT Ertz's models? They usually are fairly simple.

Have you tried www.papermodelers.com? You may get some pointers to simpler models or enthuse one of the designers to

crank out some simple models for you.

Regards,

Charlie
