Hello buys the new GBM 108 since a photo of the STA-Saint Chamond (Prototype with dummy structure) and a mysterious machine (l'étrange machine de guerre de Fouché et Quellennec (1916)) from the Archives of Charles Fouché's inside.
Cheers! I like the look of Paul Malmassari's article, he digs up some wonderful stuff. I see it's Part 2, the first part being in GBM 106. Damn you, looks like I'll be getting the old wallet out again...!
The story of Fouche & Quellennec appears in issues 104 & 105. I started translating the articles on holiday last year, then a house move ensued, so I didn't finish translating, and all the stuff is in a cardboard box somewhere. Sorry, I've failed to keep more promises than a leader of the Liberal Democrats.
Whether 108 is a further relevation or a rehash of the first two parts, I don't know. I know the first two explained something that had puzzled me for a while - a photo of a Schneider with standard Holt track plates. Turns out to be a Schneider prototype body on a Saint-Chamond running gear. It's all rather more interwoven than is generally understood.
I might invest in 108.
