First World War in Colour [pub. by Taschen] - any thoughts?

Just stumbled across this book online. The example pictures look amazing -

http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/photography/all/05794/facts.the_first_world_war_in_colour.htm

Apparently, they are proper historical autochromes, not hand-coloured B&W.

Has anyone seen this book first-hand? Is it just 'pretty' or is it a useful pictorial reference?

[Says August on Taschen's site, but Amazon lists it as already out]

I've got a copy on order. It should arrive before the end of the month.
