If you go to the link to the book site, there are additional pictures to view:

I received my copy last week and can thoroughly recommend it. There are many images which I haven't found on the web, all supplemented by a brief passage with interesting information. The cost works out at around ten pence per image which is extremely good value.

got mine through Amazon(a lot cheaper than rrp) , very impressed. My only quibble might be that the photos would have been even better if printed on shiny paper. The colours will close some of the arguments about what colours were actually used, taking into account that even colour photography is not 100% correct.

One of most interesting pictures is of American soldiers in blue and red uniform, which is probably well known to military enthusiasts but new to me as I would have expected a totally blue uniform based on what the northern states used in civil war.

Has some airplanes in colour as well? (Is it asking for aeroplanes a bad form here in this forum?)
TIA!

Just from memory I think there's a Nieuport scout, a Caudron and possibly a Breguet photorecce 2 seater.

How is it for tanks and other vehicles?

One of the preview shots was of a Rhomboid [MkIV?] in a town square, looking distinctly brown.

As a taster, here are some of the photos I was interested in from the promotional photos displayed.

They have been reduced to conform with maximum allowable size and can easily be increased by 55% for decent viewing.

The tank in the first image is Mark IV Female 2757, formerly G26 'Gordon' of 7th Battalion, after its presentation to Peronne.

I am very tempted, but I need to see how the argy-bargy at work pans out this week... and then I'll prob see if my nearest Waterstones has a thumbable copy before price-checking and mashing the buy button online.
