I really felt inspired yesterday… new sculptures designed, moulded and made in a day.

I really felt inspired yesterday having released the first batch of my 1914/15 French Army miniatures earlier this week. It was one of those days when inspired by some of my photo’s of French infantry of the early war period, I set out to create some new additions.

I came up with 3 men with mounted St Etienne HMG on 3 push bikes, an infantryman standing holding his rifle mid way through fixing his bayonet and another French infantryman sitting slumped on his rifle, having removed his back pack after a long route march.

The inspiration came on, the sculpting and modelling began. All these did not exist on the morning of the 5th august, but by the end of that day, they had been created, and moulded, the moulds cut.

After a swift game of tennis this morning (Usual Wednesday morning activity/treat), I rushed home and span the moulds. These are the first castings.

What a great day yesterday was, when inspiration comes, let it flow.

Thanks all. Look forward to your thoughts as always,
