New to WWI modeling, this is my first post on Landships. I am building the Takom MK IV Female and wish to build it as a Buete. According to PMMS the color call out in the instructions are questionable. Terry quotes the Tankograd Beutepanzer books color call out as Railcar Green, Railcar Red Brown, Ivory and Clay Yellow. Is there any prevailing theory what would be the color matches for these colors? The tank is "Annchen", Panzer 107, Abteilung 12 and I have found 2 photos on the net but know there are 2 more out there.
I am not certain I can give any color numbers but from my own study of Field Grey it could be any shade from Medium Grey to a lighter shade of the same color used on German uniforms in the Second World War. I would hazard a guess of a grey with just a green tint in since this was late in the war. As to the other colors the recommendations may be pretty close to the actual colors. I know this isn't much but hopefully those with more knowledge may add to this thread. Feel free to PM me.
