I notice that the festive season has almost reached its end without the customary exchange of greetings on the Forum. I don't know if this is caused by apathy or by a decline in the goodwill quotient amongst contributors. Perhaps the numerous inaccurate accounts of the 1914 Christmas Truce that were published or broadcast brought about a decline in morale.
Nonetheless, may I wish friends of Landships, old and new, a happy new year, and hope that 2015 brings peace, good health, prosperity, an improvement in short-term memory, and more revelations about our favourite subject?
