Hi, my wife has just finished 25 years research by publishing a book. " Colonel Pechot-Tracks to the Trenches". It was written with access to the Pechot family archive and has many interesting photographs, maps and plans of equipment. The book details the inovations and development of 60cm rail transport from the early1880s to the First war. There are shorter chapters on the subsequent German 60cm field railways and the developments by the British early in the First war. Not wishing to compromise the non-commercial nature of the site I will write no more than to say the book is available from specalist booksellers.
