As part of my masochism project (translating Russian starts to feel like that after a while) I'm trying to sort out
the 152mm howitzers used by the Russian Army in WW1. There were two Schneider designs which differed in
small details which were accepted by the Russians as the M09 fortress gun and M10 field gun and produced under licence by Putilov.
There's no dispute between articles in Revue d'Artillerie and Shirokorad's "Encycopedia of Russian Artillery" on this.
What has got me puzzled are the entries in Kosar's "Artillerie im 20 Jahrhundert" for two 152mm Krupp howitzers
an M09 of 3790kg (emplaced weight) and an M10 of 2175kg suggesting that Krupp howitzers were accepted for service.
Anyone know if Krupp howitzers were bought by the Russians before WW1?

The Krupp designs I am aware of in Russian service in the WW1 Era are the 107mm M1877, 120mm FH 1905, and the 152mm M1877. There maybe more but that is what come to mind.
