Looking at the pics published on Armada14 concerning the tanks during the russian civil war, I was especialy interested on the page 24 showing a Whippet armed with a 37mm gun.
This specific pic (and 3 other on same pages) is legended as "tank Siberian" (former crocodil) captured by the Red Army the 5 september 1920.
On the pic it is possible to read the tank number : A388, just ok for Siberian. No roundel or name can be seen.
I'm somewhat in trouble with the gun seen on the tank : it looks like a 37mm Hotchkiss, but with a long barrel, close to the one used on some russki Reno, MS-1 and Early T26, much too long to be the original french design used on the Renault FT. As far I know, the long barrel 37mm (PS1) was built in USSR at the end or even after the civil war.
Could the original french 37mm be mounted differently it was on the Renault FT? Is there a longer 37mm gun avaliable on the White armies? Or a last, was this specific pic taken later (after the end of the war) showing experiments conducted to mount a 37mm PS1 on this Whippet?
