Been building WWI models since I first found the Airfix Mark I in the late 1950's. Recently finished the Schneider and St. Chamond (photos attached) in 1/35 and posted photos on Track Link. Will be using this site much more due to its focus on what I'm interested in.
Just received the Takom Mark I Female and intend to modify the kit into a Mark II. Still have the FT-17 to build and the Takom Mark IV.

The base coat (the light tan on the Schneider and the blue-gray on the St. Chamond) is Tamiya, airbrushed. I then use a pencil to draw in the shapes. Vallejo acrylics are then brush painted. After the paint is applied I use a Micron .005 black ink pen to outline the colors. Then everything is airbrushed with a light coat of Dullcote.
Hope this helps.
