Artillery article 001.jpg

I have an article in this month's Military Modelling. I've made some micro dioramas in 1:285 scale and the article explains how. I have credited this site for some of the information that helped me to create them. THANKS!

Andy,

these are spectacular! Are the figures scratch-built, too?

Which issue of the magazine is it, by the way? I'll try to get it here in Germany.

Best regards,
Thorsten

The figures are made by GHQ and are WW2 British artillery. They have WW2 puttees, but as they are only 7mm tall, noone notices!

The magazine in the current issue - Vol.46 No.2 2016. MM have a website where you can buy it. You can also see more of my work there....

Thank you very much for the quick answer! I've gone through your thread about the micro dioramas, it's amazing!

They are just fantastic Andy, I've just been looking at the links you attached to the MM forum and they would all stand up 1/35 but in 1/285 they are completely mind blowing... you must have very good eyesight and elf sized hands!

Thanks for the kind words. I make these models using fine tweezers - hands are too big! Although I did all the models you see without magnification, the mini guns made me realise that I finally needed close up glasses! (
I'm in my mid fifties, so have done well.)
