need help with ww1 Renault ft-17 8mm US markings

I need to find color profiles or photos for this kind of tank for a project that I am going to do. Even if you can point me in the right direction or web sites that would help. Also what did a US tank crew man look like.
Regards
Denis

The tank was known as the "Renault FT" - the 8mm refers to the calibre of the Hotchkiss MG. The FT was also armed with the 37mm Puteaux gun.

Colour plates are really a guess at the appearance of the tanks - the number of real colour images from WW1 is very small. About the best you can do

is find a good monochrome image and try to emulate the camouflage pattern with the known colours used in the 3 and 4 colour camouflage schemes

(see http://landships.info/landships/tank_articles.html?load=tank_articles/Renault_FT.html)

Google images returns a  fair number of usable images with the search term "US Army Renault FT in France 1918"

Regards,

Charlie
