I am going to be building the Reviresco US Liberty truck what color(s) were they painted? I think I read somewhere US vehicles of the WW I period were painted Olive Drab or Gray.

They were olive drab. The 1st Division Museum at Chantilly is restoring a Liberty Truck at the moment and they inspected the bits from several vehicles to match the color. The WWI olive drab was lighter than the post-war/WWII color, more in the direction of khaki drab. Charles Lemons when curator at the Patton Museum at Ft. Knox described it to me (rather vividly) as the color of "pig crap".

Hi Steve

This is not quite what I expected as a reply, but thanks anyway. I probably paint the truck a dark earth color. I have been reading books and articles by you for many years keeps up the good work.
