Old Airfix conversions
Permalink

In looking through some old issues of Airfix magazine I have there are some WW I vehicle conversions that be of interest to some. Note there is an Airfix modeling site online but I can't remember the name.

Nov 1968 WW I salvage tank

Apr 1969 MK II supply tank and MK V Female conversions

Apr 1968 i believe has a MK IV conversion

Oct 1969 Ford T ambulance conversion 1/32 scale

Jul 1969 Pigeon Loft conversion from a B Type Bus 1/32

Apr 1970 Rolls Royce armored car scratch build 1/32

Sep 1971 Austin Armored car 1/32 Scratch build

Apr 1971 Military model T conversions 1/32

Feb 1973 Ford T hucks starter 1/76 conversion

Jun 78 Karrier charabanc conversion

These conversions ect are from the early days of modeling I did the WWI salvage tank and the MK II supply tank conversions many decades ago. Thats when the Airfix MK I was the only WW I tank model around. I hope some people might find this information usefull.

I can remember these issues of Airfix Magazine, and I think I still have some. There were figure conversions too, around the same time period. They are what helped me with my love of this hobby.

The tank conversion articles are accessible on the forum somewhere, and one of them has a bit of one of the figure conversion articles stuck on the end. It would be nice to see them againn after 50 years . . .o
